Abstract:

This paper is aimed to develope a Mathematical model for sustainable forest development by strategic landuse Planning. Such plans are naturally multi purpose so that multi-criteria optimization is utilized for modeling. The objective functions are: Maximization of carbon sequestration, net present value of income, stand volume, employment generation and minimization of soil erosion. Lp-norm is used to aggregate the objectives. The model is implemented for Caspian forest in Ramsar. Sensitivity analysis is made by different norms and weights.

Abstract:

Flight team Planning is defining sequential flight set that one team, including waitress and technical team, must execute. In this article it is assumed that the number and specification of all flight that an airline company must accomplish, including origin and destination cities and flight time are predetermined and work plan of each team or say list and flights sequence for each team should be specified .Obviously, for covering all flights of a company, different plans set can be developed,  for each different costs should be paid to flight team.  The purpose of this article is to provide a Mathematical model enable to cover even no ticket flights. Present models are offered aiming minimizing paid wages for flight team, but suggested model is looking to minimize total costs including pilots’ wage, and no ticket flights.

Abstract:

The problem of Airline Planning has to tally been divided in to four sub problems i.e.: flight scheduling, fleet assignment, aircraft routing and maintenance and crew scheduling In this paper for the first time a "Mathematical Integrated Model" for Airline Planning, considering all sub- problems continuously, is build up and presented. But because the developed model is a kind of large scale, solving it trough routine "Operation Research" methods seemed to be impossible; so that methods called "Meta-Heuristic" is used, such as "Generic Algorithm". The presented model is solved for an Iranian International Airline using the generic algorithm method. The model s output, added to arrival and departure times for each origin- destination, it also determines kind of fleet assigned, aircraft assigned in each fleet to respective flight and related flight crews.

Abstract:

Two patterns are being utilized in the process of decision-making in Iran police management organization for selecting and assigning personnels: abstract and concrete. The use of concrete or Mathematical pattern avoides the interference of emotions in the process of selecting and assigning personnels. In this pattern, information on the candidates of the vacant jobs is gathered and put into the Mathematical model and the output is the standard for making decision. The present paper is to examine the multi-criteria assignment from the point of view of goal programming in Iran police management succession Planning decision-making The results show that such model can be the cornerstone in the process of selection and assignment in Iran police.

Abstract:

This paper is intended to illustrate the application of the results concerning the latest researches in surface water hydraulics and hydrology for flood control project Planning. In this paper, after describing flow tracing algorithms and the logics for programming in GIS environment, the transfer of GIS output to a hydrologic model and its application to a flood control project Planning has been demonstrated. In this research, Behbahan flood control project has been used as the case study, HEC-GEOHMS with D8 algorithm in Arc View as flow tracing model and HEC-HMS as the hydrologic Mathematical model. Case study results reveal that using a hydrologic Mathematical model linked to flow tracing methods embedded in GIS can show approximate locations of outlets and gives an acceptable estimate of design flood magnitude in each node and scenario. The difference in final results before and after the application of the new methodology is noticeable.

Abstract:

Manpower Planning is a mean for acquiring confidence trom preparing the required manpower for achieveing organization aims its marking mathematics model impacts special importance for planners. So uncountable Mathematical models have been presented for formulating manpower Planning in different organizations, but continJlouslyis this question is proponed kind of model in an effiCientMathematical model Inmanpower Planning? In this article, the twenty millions army manpower Planning has been Mathematically modeled with two approaches: crisp and fuzzy. The purpose of this anticle is to reply this question that which approach (crisp or fuzzy) has a better answer for manpower Planning. To answer this question, at first one model trom crisp model (crisp goal programming) with the title of CGP was then its fuzzy model with the title of MPME was organized and finally the models were a sample group. The results trom fuzzy model were compared with crisp model, so it in recommended with regard to more vague and ambiguous date of twenty millions army in comois on organizations, to measure ambiguous factors for manpower Planning Mathematical marking model by using fuzzy logic and to base this kind of making model II for manpower Planning

Abstract:

ObjectiveRailway tracks are among the most critical and costly components of any railroad. Optimal and timely maintenance allocation ensures system reliability and effective resource utilization. This article presents a Mathematical model designed for condition-based preventive maintenance of railway tracks. The objective is to minimize total maintenance costs while maintaining system availability and reliability. The cost function considers maintenance and renewal expenses, track possession costs, and unplanned failure costs during the Planning horizon. The network is divided into segments, with the standard deviation of the longitudinal level calculated as the track quality index. Prediction and recovery models are developed to assess variations in the track quality index over the Planning period. Preventive operations, including inspections, tamping, and ballast replacement, are assigned to track segments based on the allowable index limits and other constraints. The expected number of random failures is estimated using the non-homogeneous Poisson process, and preventive operations aim to reduce the incidence of such failures. MethodsGiven the complexity and non-linearity of the Mathematical model, a meta-heuristic method based on a genetic algorithm was developed in MATLAB software. Initial random solutions were generated using a heuristic method. As a case study, input parameters were collected and modeled for one kilometer of railway in the Arak region. The efficiency of the proposed genetic algorithm was then compared with the results obtained using GAMS software. ResultsFor the case study, the Mathematical model was solved for various problem dimensions using both methods. When GAMS software was able to achieve the optimal solution, both methods produced identical results. When GAMS could only report a feasible solution, the genetic algorithm outperformed it. For higher dimensions where GAMS provided a solution, the genetic algorithm produced results with objective function values that were 40% better. ConclusionThe Planning of preventive maintenance operations for railway tracks during the project period is achieved through solving the proposed Mathematical model. This allocation is based on the quality index of the tracks and considers the reducing effect of preventive operations on the expected number of random failures, ensuring the required minimum availability and reliability of the system. The variability of the model's input parameters allows for consideration of influencing heterogeneous factors based on the tracks, traffic, and environment, enabling adaptation to different conditions or the implementation of various strategies. Additionally, the proposed genetic algorithm can efficiently solve different dimensions of problem instances.

Abstract:

Sustainable diets are important because of their less environmental impact, as well as having the micro-nutrients needed for healthy living in the present and future generations. Athletes always need special food programs to maintain their level of activity. Therefore, in this research, a Mathematical model with three objective functions for the athlete's diet plan, consumed to taking into account the principles of sustainability, includes the objectives of 1-minimizing the cost of purchasing food, the cost of water consumption and the cost of producing carbon dioxide for food, 2-Maximizing the amount of protein intake and 3-Minimizing the amount of sugar and fat. For model validation, real information about nutrients and supplements required by the athletes' body has been used. The model was formulated in The GAMS computational software and solved by Cplex solver. The outputs of the model represent the performance of the model in the actual example.
